1. Our commitment
VentNext Ltd does not allow its service to be used for money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions evasion, fraud or any other financial crime. This policy explains the steps we take. It applies to our staff and to every customer.
2. Risk-based approach
We assess the risk of each customer and each use case, using the customer type, country, how the Number will be used, the volume expected, payment method and behaviour on the account. Higher-risk cases get closer checks, and some we decline.
3. Know your customer
Before a Number is activated we verify who the customer is and, for a company, who acts for it. See the Verification Policy. We keep records of what we checked and when, and we review them again when something changes.
4. Sanctions
We do not provide the service to people or entities that are subject to applicable sanctions, to anyone owned or controlled by them, or where doing so would breach sanctions or export control law. We may check customers and their details against sanctions lists, directly or through a provider, and we may decline, suspend or end service where there is a match or a doubt. We may also decline orders connected with restricted countries or regions.
5. Ongoing monitoring
We watch for unusual activity, such as sudden changes in use, bursts of messages or calls, forwarding to risky destinations, repeated payment failures, mismatched details and complaints. We investigate and may ask you for information.
6. Payments
We accept payments only from payment methods that belong to the customer or that the customer is authorised to use. We may refuse or reverse a payment, hold an account and ask for proof of ownership. We do not accept payments that we believe come from crime, and we do not refund them to a different person or account.
7. Reporting
Where the law requires or allows it, we report suspicious activity to the relevant authorities. We may not be able to tell you that we have done so.
8. Records
We keep verification and transaction records for the period that the law requires after the relationship ends. See the Privacy Policy.
9. Training and review
Staff who handle verification, payments and support are told how to spot and escalate suspicious activity. We review this policy regularly and when the law changes.
10. Your duties
You must give us true and complete information, tell us if it changes, and not use the service for any of the activities above. If you become aware of misuse, email [email protected].
